Finally the official announcement of ABADA Capoeira’s 2013 international event!
This year marks the 25th anniversary of ABADA Capoeira which was founded by Mestre Camisa in 1988 in Rio de Janeiro. With chapters in more than 50 countries around the world, our group brings together people devoted to the advancement of its vision of capoeira as means of social integration and self-expression. Thanks to the professionalism and groundwork of its members, today ABADA Capoeira is a worldwide entity that defeats the concept of expansion, sustainability and continuity as established by large economic and political organizations.
Through capoeira, a genuinely Brazilian art, ABADA Capoeira school has been contributing towards the conservation and development of local communities as well as to a better world where understanding, exchange and commitment are the stepping stones of the way toward dignity, sustainability and reciprocal support.
Next August 2013 the CEMB (Centro Educacional Mestre Bimba) and the Fundição Progresso in Rio de Janeiro will be the stage of a major international event: the INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF THE ART OF CAPOEIRA, which will include in its programs many attractions such as: classes, workshops, cultural and musical shows, sustainable tourism, World Capoeira Games, book, video, CD launches, graduation, and of course the world’s largest capoeira class (Aulao) on the beach of Copacabana.
As every year the Arte Capoeira Center will be present at the event, for all our students it will be an exciting opportunity to train capoeira with the best and mingle with capoeiristas from all over the world.
More details coming soon, be part of history!
